How to cure yes but syndrome
Do you suffer from Yes But syndrome? Here's a great cure! For those of you unfamiliar with this debilitating and disease responsible for the apparent failure of millions of individuals worldwide. The symptoms are procrastination, constant negative self-talk, apathy, fault-finding, nit-picking, resentment, fearful prognosis making and ultimately failure. The cause is generally low self-esteem, and lack of confidence. Here's a great cure. It only takes a few minutes and the effects are permanent. Over the next few days, before you go to sleep spend 2-3 minutes doing this simple exercise: Lay down with your hands at your side. Become aware of the feeling between your body and the bed. Count backwards from 10 to 1 and allow your mind to drift back to a time when you did something you were really proud of. Recall the memory of that moment in as much sensory detail as you can. Allow the feeling to intensify and as it does press your thumb and middle finger together. Release as soon as the feeling reaches intensity. Count back up from 1 to 10, open your eyes and smile. Keep smiling as you replay the memory in your mind. The feelings associate of achievement, also known as your heightened state, will become anchored through the action of pressing your thumb and middle finger together. To activate that state all you need to do is repeat the action.
